DaxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection is administered as a series of microscopic injections that are designed to solely effect the area where they are administered. Yet, it’s possible that the medicine will impact muscles in other parts of the body after spreading from the injection site. You may experience severe breathing or swallowing difficulties that could last for several months and result in death if the muscles that govern these functions are compromised. To prevent food or drink from entering your lungs, you might need to be fed through a feeding tube if you have trouble swallowing.

Although no one has yet had these problems after getting the medication at the authorised doses to treat wrinkles, daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection may spread and produce symptoms in persons of any age who are undergoing treatment for any condition. After receiving an injection, symptoms may start to show up right away or weeks later. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you have any of the following symptoms: a generalised loss of strength or muscle weakness; double or blurred vision; drooping eyelids or brows; trouble breathing; hoarseness; a change in voice; trouble speaking; difficulty pronouncing words; or an inability to control urination.

When you start therapy with daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection and after each treatment, your doctor will give you the medication guide provided by the manufacturer. If you have any questions, carefully read the information and ask your doctor or chemist. Adults 18 years of age and older can use a daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection to temporarily smooth out frown lines (wrinkles between the eyebrows). The drug daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection belongs to a group of drugs known as neurotoxins. It suppresses the nerve signals that produce uncontrollable muscular contractions and motions.

A healthcare professional will combine a powder form of daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection with a liquid before injecting it into a muscle. The dose may be changed by your healthcare professional until they determine what is best for you. The injection of daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm should not be given more frequently than three months apart.

Before receiving daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection,

• If you have heart illness now or ever, notify your doctor. DaxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injections have been associated with irregular heartbeat and heart attacks, which may be more common in people who already have or have a history of heart problems.
• To determine whether daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm is likely to be effective for you, your doctor will evaluate you. If you have drooping eyelids, difficulty raising your eyebrows, or any other change in the way your face typically appears, a daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection may not be able to smooth out your wrinkles or may result in other issues.
• Inform your doctor if you are expecting, intend to get pregnant, or are nursing a baby. Call your doctor if you become pregnant after receiving daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm.
• You should be aware that daxibotulinumtoxinA injection can weaken muscles all over the body, impair vision, or cause a loss of strength. Do not drive a car, operate machinery, or engage in any other risky activity after receiving an injection if you experience any of these symptoms.

Keep eating normally unless your doctor instructs you otherwise.

The injection of daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm may have unwanted effects. If any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away, let your doctor know right once:

• Injection site discomfort, sensitivity, pain, swelling, redness, bleeding, or bruising
• Headache

Certain adverse effects can be very harmful. During the initial few weeks following your treatment, if you ever develop any of these symptoms or those in the IMPORTANT WARNING section, call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention:

• Reduced, double, or fuzzy vision
• Eyelid enlargement
• Vision alterations (such as light sensitivity or blurred vision)
• The face having trouble moving
• Inflamed, painful, or dry eyes
• Unsteady heartbeat
• Chest ache
• Breathing difficulty
• Fainting
• Dizziness
• Rash
• Hives
• Itching

Further negative effects from daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm injection are possible. If you experience any strange issues while taking this medicine, contact your doctor right away.

• Weakness

• Having trouble breathing
