Common uses
Verdeso is a corticosteroid used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions.

Before using
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are also taking oral corticosteroids (such as prednisone). DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical conditions including a skin infection, cuts, scrapes, lessened blood flow to the skin, measles, tuberculosis (TB), a positive TB skin test, chicken pox, shingles, thinning of the skin, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Inform your doctor if you have recently had a vaccination. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.

Directions
Follow the directions for using Verdeso provided by your doctor. Shake well before each use. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Hold canister upside down to dispense the medicine. Apply the smallest amount necessary to cover the entire affected area as directed by your doctor. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. If you are using this medicine on your face, do NOT dispense it directly onto the face. Dispense it into your hands, and then gently massage onto the face until the medicine disappears. WASH YOUR HANDS immediately after applying this medicine, unless your hands are part of the treated area. DO NOT BANDAGE OR WRAP the affected area unless directed otherwise by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) in a tightly closed container away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120 degrees F (49 degrees C). Do not puncture, break, or burn the canister even if it appears to be empty. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT use 2 doses at once.

Cautions
DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. This medicine is for external use only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you get it in any of these areas, flush right away with cool tap water. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than 4 weeks without checking with your doctor. If your symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks or if they get worse, check with your doctor. Do not apply this medicine over large areas of the body, to open wounds, or to scraped, infected, or burned skin without first checking with your doctor. Do not use this medicine for other skin conditions at a later time. This medicine is flammable. Do not store or use near an open flame or while smoking. Do not use any other medicines or special cleansers on your skin unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE HAVING IMMUNIZATIONS (VACCINATIONS) while you are using this medicine. If this medicine is being used to treat the diaper area of a child, avoid using tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CORTICOSTEROID MEDICINES MAY AFFECT growth rate in children and adolescents in some instances. Your child’s growth should be checked regularly while using this medicine. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN CHILDREN because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk after topical use. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while using this medicine include mild, temporary stinging or burning. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience severe or persistent burning; irritation, redness, or swelling of the skin; fever, chills, sore throat, or persistent cough; acne-like rash; or thinning, softening, or discoloration of the skin. An allergic reaction to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

If you take too much
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms may include increased thirst or urination; muscle weakness; or unusual weight gain, especially in the face.

Additional information
DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children. IF USING THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
